&blowdry's Chicago Woman Magazine Print Ad
This is my first professional advertisement to ever run. It will run as a 1/4 page print ad in the May/June '18 Chicago Woman Magazine. Though there is very little copy, I directed the overall layout and services to showcase.

Spotify Premium Campaign
For my copywriting course at DePaul University we had to pick a company and create original advertisements highlighting the company's top features. I chose to create ads for Spotify Premium, highlighting their personalized suggestions and offline listening options. In order to do this I decided to advertise to commuters taking the subway showing their phones will work anywhere. As well, I decided to take an "Americana" feel with the idea of taking a road trip with your friends not having to worry about your music!

JWT Campaign
Back in the 1980’s, the J. Walter Thompson agency ran an ad entitled, “Write If You Want Work”. It was a recruiting ad for copywriters, designed to find creative writers for the agency. The ad consisted of 8 different writing exercises, each with a specific purpose to gauge a candidate's creative and writing potential. None of the exercises ever used the words “ Write an ad”. For my copywriting course we were given 5 of the prompts.

Write a “Dialogue in a Dark Alley”. The prompt simply stated, no more than 200 words with no other instructions, except to remember the basics of what makes a good story.

“Design two posters: One for the NRA; the other for gun control”. A few additional directions from the ad were, headline and visuals primarily; if you put in body copy, it can be no more than 50 words. You should provide two 8.5” x 11” posters.

The ingredients listed on a can of baked beans read: “Beans, water, tomatoes, sugar, salt, modified starch, vinegar, spices.” Make it sound mouthwatering.

You need to develop a script for a popular network television program that will convince the show’s millions of viewers to each send in a dime. You have 30 seconds to be convincing. The point of this is to write in the voice and style of previously developed characters. So find a show that is in the entertainment area, not a news program or fake news program. The reason that they need to send in a dime is up to you.

Write the history of the United States in 100 words or less.
