promoted posts

As social media manager it was up to my discretion to promote whichever posts I saw fit and beneficial to the company. I cannot say specific numbers however the nail photo on the right, it was a scrolling post with different nail looks, had over 16,000 impressions. The tricky part of promoting posts was our lack of a budget as a new company. So for every promoted post we spent under $30 so it was up to me to manipulate our reach and audience within a small budget. This proved beneficial because we far exceeded the number of new clients we brought in 6 months (January 2018-June 2018) than we did in an entire calendar year (2017). When prompted, the new clients 80% of the time stated they heard about us from Instagram.

branded content
I designed branded content for our social media. Whether it was just a cute quote or a post regarding our specials, I created engaging posts for our audience.

I designed Instagram story content to increase the engagement of our followers. Whether the story was to bring awareness to a campaign (the first example) or just encourage interaction with the voting/poll options (example 2), I created successful, on brand Instagram stories.

In May, I was tasked to create a Pinterest account for &blowdry. So starting from scratch I was able to use creative content and hashtags to get traction and gain an audience which now has 1.6k monthly viewers.
SOCIAL Sparkling Wine social media
check it out!
SOCIAL Sparkling Wine is a local Chicago startup creating organic, low calorie sake wines featured on hit show Billion Dollar Buyer. I was an intern there overseeing the company’s Pinterest and Facebook accounts. I accepted a three month internship and was extended for an additional three months. I coordinated and scheduled postings, created new cocktail recipes, curated the photoshoots, and generated original content. As my internship progressed I oversaw all of the social media channels even though I personally ran Facebook and Pinterest. I reevaluated strategy and redesigned their current strategy. On top of all of my responsibilities, I also managed two other social media interns.

I curated and directed photoshoots to create branded content for the company. As well, I created original cocktail recipes that are featured here.
social media giveaway

While I was interning, I proposed the idea of a giveaway to increase the engagement on our social media platforms. We decided the best time for a giveaway would be Easter so we did an exclusive Easter basket giveaway. I was given a budget to go and get whatever I saw fit to be in our giveaway. This post at the time had the most engagement across our channels and the contest was incredibly successful.
